Danish immigrant pleads guilty in local fraud case
H R Albrecht admitted adding figures to a check scheme and pleaded guilty before Judge Lynch. He received a sentence of hard labor for up to 18 months at Deerland prison. Julius Olsen of Butte helped indorse a check. Olsen held $80. Albrecht, 22, said he worked as a mechanic and musician to return to Denmark. Edward Cook faced fraud larceny charges for stealing a watch valued at $6 and requested counsel, with Marcus O’Farrell appointed. The docket also notes a bill of exceptions in a separate Northern Pacific case involving As tone Noel.

From Sun to Sun by Florence Davies
Florence Davies argues housework should be treated as a profession with defined hours. She suggests two paths for improvement: either wives hire more help to enable shifts or women of moderate means take on more household responsibility. She contends this elevates the home industry and earns respect.
