Remove Barrier Let People Decide
A chamber of commerce committee proposes a constitutional amendment to remove barriers to city and county consolidation in Silver Bow County Butte. Judge E Howell says the measure creates opportunity without obligation and would let the people decide on consolidation, outlining steps from proposal to statewide vote and local county approval. The plan aims to allow any government form chosen by voters, not prescribe a specific structure.
