Famous Skunk Hunter in Adirondacks Captures Skins by Wilson
From the New York Times, Ab Wilson stands as the Adirondacks' famed skunk hunter. He began in October with a string of 40 traps and earned hundreds of skins by daytime hunts after snow. He uses a club, not fire, to preserve pelts, and stories recount multiple catches from a single hole. He details live chicken bait, a unique trap cage, and a tame skunk raised at home that battled a game cock, ending with the cock injuring the skunk.
