COUNTY BOARD IN JAIL FOR CONTEMPT OF COURT
Forsyth December 6. County commissioners and the county clerk were jailed for contempt after defying Justice McRae by withholding his docket. The judge fined each commissioner eight dollars and the clerk fifty dollars and remanded them to the sheriff until repayment or district court relief. Habeas corpus actions are expected to challenge the judge’s authority.
