Three men suffered injuries in a quarry explosion that occurred when twenty two sticks of dynamite were ignited accidentally. Authorities investigated the mishap and noted no further danger to the surrounding area.
In a dynamite accident at the Great Northern quarries, R J McDermand of Great Falls is badly hurt and likely to die, Co T Montague loses an eye, and James J Brennan sustains minor injuries. The blast occurred as they tested a defective battery in a tent with 22 sticks of dynamite.
