Demurrers by Sugar Company Over Indictments
The Utah-Idaho Sugar company and officials face two demurrers to three indictments by a U S grand jury in Hutte. They argue the charges under the Lever Food Control Act lack sufficient facts, fail to state market value at the time and place, and claim two sales to Union Wholesale and Western Wholesale should be in separate indictments. Attorneys Strouper & Leatherwood and Frank Gaines represent the defense.
