Pipeline Plans From Winnett Field to Move Oil Soon
In Lewistown on November 30, the Montana Pipe Line syndicate, with partners from Minneapolis Detroit Des Moines and Racine, filed trusteeship papers and secured rights of way to transport oil from Winnett. The $400000 venture plans to ship oil by February next. The same date, the Central Montana Wheat Growers Association urged extending credit through local banks as paper demand fell. Fisher Oil of Pennsylvania bought large Mosby field acreage and will start drilling. Edward Way represents the firm. The Moccasin Dispatch, a long-running local paper, has suspended publication.
