Royal Company Begins Operations at Mount Royal Mill
Anaconda Montana reports Mount Royal Mining company starts erecting a cyanide leaching mill on Rock Creek near Schoonover Smith mine. A. B. Ringeling supervises the project with Hugh Carmichael guiding construction and plans for tramways and water supply to support a drop stamp mill using gas engine power. The Antelope district mines near Philipsburg are expected to become permanent producers.

Nose bleed saves prospector Nick Konz at Gold Coin mine
A Gold Coin mine near Silverlake sent word yesterday a man bled to death, but Doctor quickly drove 12 miles to Nick Konz, a famed prospector. The bleeding stopped upon arrival and he joked he had too much blood for an old prospector. Neighbors and family express gratitude for sympathy after the loss of a husband and father. Eastern Star picnic set at Washoe Park Friday with rides and races. thanks extended to Knights, mill and smelter workers, and floral tributes for a little son and grandson.
