Diamond Thieves Arrested In East Mercury Street Theft
Charles Harrs and J. B. Thompson were arrested on charges of stealing a diamond ring valued at 2% from Grace McGinnis on East Mercury street. A reward led a musician to reveal the ring’s location at the New Orleans dance hall basement. Thompson said Harris loaned and sold the ring. Harris quit his job with McGinnis on the 21st.
