New Pheasant Sighted Near Manchester Correspondence
A striking new pheasant species has been seen locally drawing sportsmen. Described as more handsome than the Mongolian bird, witnesses suggest it may be a Japanese pheasant. The head and neck show steel blue hues, with the back and wings a vivid mix of orange red black brown and yellow. The breast feathers are red with dark edges and iridescent tones. The bird is solitary and does not mingle with Mongolian pheasants.
