Question of responsibility for lodgings and saunas

In court the proprietor of a lodging house on Arizona Street faced a charge of maintaining an insanitary establishment. Sanitary inspectors testified the place was dirty. The judge ordered the place nailed up within three hours and warned against serving meals there again. The case also examined hotel liability for goods left in storage, with the owner told to help locate owners. Several minor incidents followed including two youths fined and a woman’s bond remitted after her husband was released.
