Remarkable disappearance of elements in electrified tubes
In contact with mercury, entirely disappears. It resembles a substance first found by Sir Joseph J. Thomson and named X3. Four elementary substances helium neon carbon and sulphur have appeared in these tubes, with hydrogen disappearing as well. Experiments start with none of the four present, making the disappearance highly remarkable.
