Miss Blanche Sherwood offers 3 dollars for a 10 to 1 wager on Termless, a horse destined for a loss. Delcher and partners chart a backroom scheme to keep the money, but Termices is scratched and the plan collapses, leaving Delcher with a costly misjudgment.

Harnois has served as deputy grand chief of honor and headed Montana jurisdiction, a compliment expected to ensure wise administration.
Walter Garrison, expert in short changing, arraigned on a count of operating a confidence game and obtaining money falsely from saloonkeeper M. J. Riley. pleaded not guilty and set for trial next Tuesday with $300 bonds. Also charged were Ed Morrison, James Murphy, Pat Duffy, William Crimmins and Charles Wilson for alleged watch theft from Andrew Murphy. all pleaded not guilty and face a Tuesday 10 am trial. in default of bonds, they are jailed. Two forgery complaints against J. Howard to be arraigned Monday. Thomas Kay charged with assault on M. Kallheimer earlier this month.
