Five first aid teams tied for first in Friday contest
Five first aid teams tied for first with perfect scores in the Friday field day contest. An average score approached 98 percent across 18 teams, with the tie to be broken by Friday afternoon. Judges from Butte included Harold Schwartz and others. The 1920 safety banner awarded to the Emma mine flew over Silver and Colorado streets during the event. Plans moved to select a representative team for the international first aid and mine rescue contest to be held in Denver with mining companies asked to appoint teams.
