Delegates J V C Taylor and J J Gahan from Butte to the Loyal Order of Moose national convention in Cincinnati returned to Butte after two weeks. At a Chicago banquet they heard U S senators Myers and Walsh praised for fidelity to Montana, and at Mooseheart near Aurora, Illinois, the cornerstone laying for a $5,000,000 industrial school and home for orphans and the aged drew thousands. The project aims to train boys and girls for varied trades and professions with free education.

Swiss Will Tell Society Picnickers Brighten German Gulch Day
About 200 Swiss Willam Tell society members and families enjoyed a summer outing in German Gulch. The gathering featured picnics, foot races, jumping contests, and a large fresh feast. Trains carried attendees in waves from early afternoon to evening, ending with a singing return to town. A member noted only part of Butte’s Swiss residents belong to the group and a broader membership drive is planned.
