The Butte Radio Club hosts a round table on radio troubles at its courthouse HQ with an open forum on recent constellation disturbances and a telescope night to view heavenly bodies from the courthouse roof. Widespread station broadcasts and a Minnesota example highlight efforts to improve programming for radio listeners.
The junior and sophomore committees plan a country dance event with attire representing farmers and cowboys. Preliminaries for the dean contest start Friday at 2:30 pm in study hall A, with many entrants listed including Mary Laurie Davenport and Dorothy Hamilton among others.
The Montana Supreme Court orders further proceedings to determine payment claims by a contractor for services rendered in the Red Lodge Arselud Irrigation district project in Carbon county. Charles Wong of Tampa Bay area was sentenced to one year at hard labor in the state prison at Retard by Judge James M. Poelay after a criminal court conviction. The charge involved violation of Florida trust related business conduct.
The Rev Charles F Chapman Richard H Christopher William B Daly Andrew J Davier Fred J Furman Bam P Officer and Willard Thompson were elected by the Butte Hooterlang club to serve as directors for the ensuing year at the noon luncheon meeting. The seven highest vote getters were chosen from 14 candidates. The board will meet to select officers and report soon. The club endorsed Helena capitals plan to take the champion boy to the Denver international convention. Also notes praise for Lewistown hospitality and a Notre Dame de la Garde parapet fall incident in Marseilles resulting in minor injuries.
