Eight people were injured in a series of five automobile accidents caused by heavy Easter snow and slippery streets in Denver. A woman was reported critically injured as responders attended the scene.
An Easter snowstorm in Denver caused five automobile accidents injuring eight people, with streets slick and visibility poor. W J Mulnix struck a street car and a tree, Lela Mulnix critically hurt. Winkler, his son, Francis Severs pinned under a overturned car. patrolman A J Phillips injured after being struck by J L Luth. Rothchild found unconscious on West Colfax. a touring car fled after striking Rothchild. James Williamson injured when his bicycle collided with Theodore Campbell’s car. The storm disrupted traffic and police hunted the escaping vehicle.
Associated Press reports a fire swept through the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo damaging the main building and its temporary annex. One person killed and hundreds of staff and visitors left homeless as winds spread the flames destroying a newly constructed wing valued in yen.

Helena Montana April 16 George Phillip and Roy Jones were arrested at Missoula last summer on a federal warrant charging theft of an automobile and were captured today at Cleveland Ohio. A Justice Department telegram to Sheriff Tom Spratt said the men would be brought back to Montana for trial on the original charge. They escaped from the county jail in Helena and were traced south and east to the Utah line before Montana officers lost track, then were found again and picked up.
Washington April 16 The Anti-Saloon League faces DOJ scrutiny as Representative Tinkham Republican Massachusetts says charges alleging violations of antitrust and prohibition era practices are before a grand jury and federal court He claims the league issued propaganda to protect its power and influence over Congress and judicial appointments.
