Major League season opens in the East today

The baseball season begins with both the National and American leagues set to start today. In the NL Boston visits Brooklyn while New York hosts Philadelphia, Chicago plays Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh goes to St. Louis. The American League opens with Washington at Boston, New York at Cleveland, Chicago at St. Louis, and Detroit and Philadelphia also in action as pennant races appear wide open.
