A flurry of meetings and events filled Ames activity from the W R C regular session in G A R hall to dances by Rho Sigma Gammas Kappa Sigma and S A R groups. Women hosted dinners picnics and lectures at Linn Avenue Ninth Street and local clubs including Civic Improvement Chi Chi and Nonpareil with officers elected and programs on irrigation Grand Canyon and regional topics.
Miss Phillips delivered a convincing talk on home and school modern conveniences. A two course luncheon in pink and white club colors followed. Ben Read began reporting for the Times this week succeeding Miss Shugart who will travel with the King Richard Co.
