A Des Moines editorial accuses the Iowa board of control of targeting the agricultural college and urges scrutiny of its expenses. It attacks the board for lobbying costs while noting the board's own travel, hotel bills, parlor cars, umbrella rentals, and laundry bills charged to the state, remarking on waste and double standards.
