Gun Shot Wound From Accidental Revolver Discharge

Bob Clark a clothing department clerk at the Fair store received a severe finger wound when a loaded revolver in his pocket discharged as he dressed to leave after work. The bullet pierced his middle finger and then four layers of a ladies cloak before lodging in the ceiling. The accident occurred as the gun struck a chair while he hurried to don his overcoat.

Cross Country Run at Iowa State College Saturday

Fire breaks out in Fourth Ward clothing closet

A fire alarm from the L. Mabie home on Boone Street in the Fourth Ward called out volunteers who arrived quickly but the blaze was extinguished before the hose cart. A match left in a clothes closet started the fire, ruining some garments but causing only minor damage.

The bride, a Bell Telephone operator, has many friends here and the groom, a mechanical engineering graduate, will work in a Sioux City foundry.
