To the Republican electors of Story County Iowa a Republican primary will be held at voting places on Wednesday July 8 from 8 pm to 6 pm for county offices and to elect delegates to the county convention in Ames July 11 1896 and to the congressional convention in Winterset August 4 1896. The representation is two delegates per precinct plus one for every fifty GOP votes or majority fraction cast for Drake governor last election. The convention will canvass the primary results and nominate county officers and fourteen delegates to the state convention.
