Republicans of Story county hold delegate convention at Nevada court house

The Story county Republican delegate convention met at the Nevada court house Saturday at 11 a.m. with W. P. Fitchpatrick as county chairman and U. S. Alderman as temporary chairman. Williard John was elected secretary and L. G. Hardin reading clerk. Committees on permanent organization credentials and resolutions were named, and key endorsements for Governor Cummins and McKinley administration were approved.

A resolution to align with Polk county rules to make each precinct separate and assign its delegates was introduced Saturday but voted down by a large majority. The Polk county convention had not yet spoken.
