Luke Davis born in Boone county Indiana in 1832 passed away at 79 after a long life that included marriage to Anna Stewart in 1855 twelve children and a move from Iowa to Tama county and later Ames He was a Church of Christ member and is survived by a brother who attended the funeral conducted by Rev Waris at the home of his son in Low six and a half miles southeast of Ames.
Canton Aines No 48 will install officers Monday evening January 8. After installation Maj Bauer of Des Moines will inspect the Canton. Every member notified to be present in all dress by order of the captain.
Mrs Margaret Courtney Fuller Tuller died at her mother s Estherville Iowa home on Saturday December 5th at age 35 years 5 months and 29 days. Funeral services were held Sunday at her mother s home with Rev M Hurd presiding. She was born April 1 1878 in Center Junction Iowa and lived in Ames Deliver and Estherville before passing away. Her body lay in state at Duckworth s parlor before a 1 20 pm service Tuesday conducted by Rev J Frederic Catlin. She had joined the Baptist church in Ames and remained a faithful member after moving away.
The infant of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Bowman died unexpectedly after four o'clock that afternoon. Born December 24, the child passed away in January. Leo C. Harris of the Christian Church led the funeral services at the home and the burial followed at the local cemetery. The bereaved family includes Mr. and Mrs. Bowman and relatives in Corona, California.
