Doctor Mer ryman sails to Texas with medical posts

The Slater News reports Doctor Merryman formerly a C. N. W. surgeon from Ames visited Slater to bid friends farewell. He plans to go to Galveston Texas where he will be head surgeon for a large railroad in Texas and hold a half share in a National bank there.

Tuberculosis Test Finds 23 Of 42 Cows In Ingham Herd Diseased

In Algona area the Ingham farm dairy was tested for tuberculosis by Prof Niles and Dr Sayers. Of 42 cows tested, 23 showed signs of disease. Cows were quarantined and will be killed. a postmortem will be performed by a vet not connected to Iowa authorities to publish results.
