Persistent rumors claim Dr. A B Storms may resign as president of Iowa State College. The Des Moines Capital reports it and Dr Storms has not issued a statement yet. Elsewhere a ten pound boy was born Sunday to Frank and Mrs Corbin of Marshalltown, former Times staffer and Lizzie Corbin’s brother.

King Ellsworth, a 1750 pound two year old Angus steer raised by Kansas State Agricultural College, won the International stock show grand championship in Chicago. Professor R J Kinzer trained the steer with meticulous feeding and care, pushing Kansas science in animal husbandry.

Dryest City Struck By Water Shortage Sunday
A weekend mishap left Ames unable to pump water for about twelve hours. Leathers on a deep well pump failed and caused dry pumping and a temporary water shortage for boilers and fire protection. Spare water arrived from Northwestern via hose, restoring supply by evening.
