John Marvin Brown born April 19 1838 in Claremont Delaware. He moved to Illinois 1859 married Isabel Haymaker 1860 and had seven children. The family settled Story County Iowa in 1876. He died at age 70 with wife and two daughters present. Survived by five children a brother Thomas Brown and sister Ione Pierce. Funeral held Thursday at 2 p m Rev Alonzo Pruitt Irwin Iowa.
