Farmers Institute in Nevada February Meeting Program
The Thea Farmer's Institute for Story county will be held at the courthouse in Nevada February 8 and 9. Secretary George C. White arranged an excellent program with entries for Farmers Wives and prizes for bread and butter. The schedule covers talks by D. L. Lang and Dr. J. H. McNeil, demonstrations by Miss Witter and Miss Rausch, and sessions on butter, cattle feed, soil fertility, beef production, and rail relations. The article also notes a Cedar Rapids Republican summary: the government wins its second trust case against beef packers, affirming federal power to prevent combinations in restraint of trade and potential jail for violations.
