Dynamite Bombs Found Hidden Near Greely Farm
Mr Kinkaid and the Myers boy found four dynamite bombs wrapped in paper and tied with shoe strings in manure hauled from Squire Loughran's stable on the Greely farm south of town. The bombs measured about two inches in diameter and eight to ten inches long. A bystander advised careful handling. Theories place their origin as possible intended use, lost drill site debris, or hidden stash. The discovery was witnessed by H A Greely and others. The bombs had fresh paper, suggesting recent concealment.
