City council ordered Jim Woodward to relocate his Main and Kellogg billboards to restore view of the new federal building from Main street. The disputed landscape between the building and Main is described as rough and overgrown with weeds and debris, including old sleighs and farm equipment, and the council may require restoration or return of the boards to their original position.
Proctor and Gates will shortly relocate to rooms in the new Mr Cawley building on Main street. Mr Canaday, leasing the Hunt building, will occupy the lower floor as living rooms and use the front room as a law office while renting the upper floors.

A valuable horse is missing south of town following a state fair week. Two year old stallions Nichich died Sunday. The report notes a line of Percheron horses previously at the fair and seeks information on the missing animal.
J it Russell of East Prairie Mississippi arrives today to join Mrs Russell ain at the Sexton parental home where family visitors are staying.
Mrs. Peter Smith from Waukon died when her car overturned near Zearing as it turned onto a grade. Will Smith and the two sons were hurt or scratched. the accident pinned her neck and caused fatal injuries. The husband returned from Des Moines to hear of the tragedy. The family resides on C. M. Smith’s Sherman township farm. Nevada Journal reported.
Miss Watts will leave Saturday for Dallas Center to teach in the city schools this year. Miss Jos Calonkey is also to teach there. The two young ladies are pleased at the prospect of the year together.
