Prohibition County Convention in Nevada on May 15, 1895 placed a ticket for public office before Story county voters. Names include T. W. Blackman for Representative, M. C. Seal for Sheriff, W. E. Bisbee for Treasurer, 8. G. Newman for Superintendent, and Benj. Confare for Supervisor. The ticket supports the anti saloon platform nationwide and asks votes in November. D. M. Haypen, Sec. Bens. D G Ferevson offers an improved farm in Palo Alto county at 52 dollars per acre in trade for a dwelling in Ames valued about 2000 dollars with balance on terms. Another improved farm in the same locality is offered at 30 dollars per acre with similar terms. Also northern Iowa land available in exchange for cattle.
