Last Sunday night Marshal Thompson answered a disturbance near the mill where Mrs. Brown cried for help. Mr. Brown was found assaulting his family. he was charged after bail was provided and later fined for beating his wife and disturbing the peace.

The driver, trying to control a frightened horse, did not stop after the street car passed. She suffered a severe head cut but is recovering. W. E. Shannon injured a finger on barbed wire. infection led to mild blood poisoning.
