At Ames on April 15 1896 the council met in city hall with nine members present. Minutes were read and approved. The board of equalization adjourned to April 20 with John Longsdorf unchanged and Bingham & Co adjusted from 1000 to 700. Advertisements for barbering clothing and farm equipment appeared in the same notice sequence.
