Worries of a Bank Clerk Over a Year of Near Losses
A Portland Oregonian tale describes bank mishaps from careless handling of money. A lighthearted collector loses a twenty when it falls through a grate. A sack of ten thousand twenties bursts on the sidewalk, coins rolling away. A clerk mistakes two thousand for two hundred, leaving him short for a year.
