Prof W Byer and daughter visited Mason City over Sunday while Prof Paramel inspected Carroll water system. Gov LaFollette spoke at college chapel. Prof and Mrs Ashbaugh welcomed a son born Sept 20. Sigma Na to host a Friday informal dance. A chapel concert raised funds but drew a small audience. McKay invited to speak in Portland and Burlington and Ingersoll invites received. Numerous campus activities include corn judging, football scrimmage, sewer surveys, bleacher construction, and horticultural donations. A large Cedar Rapids Clinton visitors group toured Ames.
