Nightmare saves dog and cat from gas store accident in Derby

John H. Hartwell, a Derby druggist, awoke from a nightmare to find his store filled with gas and his dog and cat seemingly dead. He revived the dog outdoors and the cat revived with air flow. Investigation showed the cat had unplugged a gas stove tube, preventing an explosion as only gas lights burned.
