College notes report Ames high victory over Grinnell 41 to 6 boosting season momentum. The piece covers football debate losses to Cedar Falls and several campus lectures, visits, and upcoming events at Iowa State College including agricultural tours and a Siberia conditions talk.
Miss Jennie McMichael and Mr. John Mackay of this city were married Sunday at three in the afternoon by Rev. A M Shea. The ceremony, attended only by Miss Jennie Morrow and Katherine McMichael, took place in the parlors of the newly furnished home on Londago Street.
Des Moines departure at 8 p m, return train leaves Des Moines at 10 80 p m Friday November 18. College cadets and the band will accompany this train.

Mrs Geo T Benson of Kellar Virginia used Chamberlains Pain Balm on her burned child after a Saturday night bath accident. The antiseptic liniment calmed the child within minutes and he recovered fully in about two weeks. Pain Balm is sold by all druggists.
City of Ames resolves to order a storm sewer from the intersection of Duff and North streets west along North to Douglass and north to Park, using 12 inch and 10 inch drain tile with grade to deepest point five and a half feet. Assessments to abutting property cover most costs, city funds cover intersections and catch basins. A December 1908 council meeting is set to consider the resolution.
The Ames Iowa City Council orders an eight inch storm sewer laid from the Robb drain near the south line of lot 2 in section 2 to the street center near the Sycamore street intersection. The drain will be tile at grade with a one inch fall per ten feet and condemnation of necessary land follows legal provisions.
Be it further resolved that the city council will meet at the council chamber on the 7th day of Dec A D 1908 at eight o'clock p m for the purpose of considering this union and that notice of the same and of the resolution be, as required by an A B Maxwell Parley Sheldon Clerk Mayor 30
The District Court of pertemona appointed C G Ler as administrator of Emily Zenor deceased. All debtors must pay the estate and all claimants should present legally authenticated claims to the court for allowance. Dated Ames Iowa Oct 20 1908.
