A local outlet announces the soda fountain is in operation and promotes Hanfords Ice Cream Soda with an offer to fill orders within about three days. The note emphasizes ready service and the promise of delicious ice cream.
Our Grocery Department is complete in every particular. Best goods at reasonable prices. If you haven't yet given us a trial order for meats you ought to give us one. Our goods will please you. Fresh fish every Thursday and Friday.
A long list of praise for the Ames Intelligencer souvenir editions notes extensive illustrations of business leaders and streets. Other items include coverage of railroad incident repairs near Kelley and Ames delaying service, and an endorsement of Chamberlain's Pain Balm for rheumatism.
Story City Herald notes S. Nordskog will launch a new grocery store in Story City on about January 1. He has rented the former Christianson Henryson clothing store, adding fixtures and shelving, with plans to open a meat market in the fall if feasible.
For the week ending May 22 1905, temperatures were 2 to 4 degrees below normal with heavy cloudiness and moderate rainfall except in a few areas. Excess moisture from heavy rains the prior week delayed field work, though planting corn advances were strong in the northwest. germination good on dry lands while pastures and small grain show good growth.

Accidents at owner’s risk. Connolly’s French Coach horse will be in Nevada on Saturdays and home the rest of the week 14 miles east. Also Watkins-White Co offers mower service.

The 5A horse goods firm is highlighted as reliable and now offers Web harness trunk straps neck ties lines and adjustable halters at reduced prices. The note mentions single and double Web harnesses priced at five dollars twenty six cents four dollars and one price twenty one ninety five.
