Rural estate and loan agent T C McCall of Nevapa offers sales notices with 2 and 3 percent commissions when loans close.

An advertisement argues temperance comes from removing desire for stimulants. It promotes Brown's Iron Bitters as a non alcoholic tonic made in Baltimore by Brown Chemical Company. Claiming to curb the craving alcohol, it asserts health benefits and urges trying a bottle at $1.00.
The advertisement touts Ayer's Ague Cure as a nonpoisonous vegetable tonic that cures fever and ague and all malarial disorders without quinine or minerals. It argues mineral tonics leave poisons in the system and claims the cure eradicates them and restores health, including liver complaints.
