Close Vote Shapes Republican County Convention
The Story county GOP convention featured a tight 5814 to 47% contest between Dr. J J Hostetter and Hon W J Venneman. J A Fitchpatrick introduced H E Myrah as temporary chair with A S Alderman as secretary and W O Payne as assistant. Delegates and committees were named, with Roosevelt administration support and tariff principles reiterated. Delegates to state and congressional conventions were chosen, and L M Bosworth elected county central chairman.
