Gratitude for Generous Church Holiday Gifts

To the Editor Tax In Tencescer. The C P Church in this place and vicinity thanks the members and friends for a large donation on the evening of the 14th. A crowd of about 200 from Zenorville and Ames gathered at the church with baskets and supplies. Donors contributed about $85 in cash plus groceries and goods totaling $110, plus a Christmas tree gift valued at $40. Such favors are appreciated.

The railroad tank operator found a tag for a fine Swiss watch in a tobacco plug from H. B. Hawley & Co. The firm stocks much tobacco in Ames. Each butt yields a ticket for a watch or sewing machine. The tobacco, named Honest, is popular with users.

Donation at Presbyterian Church Aids Rev McCall Family

Last Friday night March 14 a parish fundraiser at the Presbyterian Church raised about 75 in cash and 35 in merchandise for Rev McCall and family. Gilbert Bros shipped stock cars this week and C M Wilson recovered from bowel inflammation. W K Barnes and James Johnson visited relatives.
