Readable tale from Boone area about two men riding a speeding car toward Boone on the North and Western railway. They clung to the ends of the ties as a westbound passenger train struck the trestle. The car plunged 140 feet to the creek bottom and was demolished. The men were rescued aboard the train, shaken but unharmed.
