Lightning Strikes Boone Food Lincoln House and Boy Hurt
During the storm last Wednesday afternoon two lightning strikes hit Boone. One struck the Lincoln House chimney causing damage to the reading room but no injuries. A boy named George Paxton was found unconscious after the storm and later recovered some movement. The incident is described as a probable lightning stroke. In a separate matter, Harry Jewell O Brien and a tramp known as kite were tried and found guilty by the court without a jury.
