William H Fitchpatrick died at his daughter Mrs C W McElyea’s home on Monday June 13 after an apoplexy last Saturday. Funeral held at the McElyea residence conducted by Rev Thomas and Rev Innes of Nevada. interment at Ames cemetery. Born December 18 1814 in Virginia, he lived in Indiana and Iowa, served as county supervisor, and left three sons in service during the Civil War. He was 88 years old.

Genevieve Flemming of Des Moines directed a well managed, successful event.
