Obituary records Evaline Alvord wife of D H Alvord dying in Ames on Sunday July 6 1879 at age 61 born Jan 22 1828 Oswego New York. She moved to Princeton Illinois in 1862 joined the Baptist church and later settled in Ames where she helped organize the Ames Baptist Church.
