First Family Settler J J Kegley Attends Story County Event

J J Kegley of Oakland California, among Story county’s oldest settlers, attended the semi centennial celebration with his parents Mr and Mrs J H Kegley who moved to the county in 1851 as the first east of Squaw Creek. He later moved to Oakland three years ago to run a nursery. He has visited Ames since June and plans to return west. His mother Mrs Sarah Kegley still lives with daughter Mrs Bert Blackmore in Monte Vista Colorado.
