Edwin Read died in Ames Iowa on January 1 1896 at his parents home from typhoid pneumonia He was born in Ames in March 1874 and educated there and at the Agricultural College He planned to study medicine and was practicing in the office of Dr Richmond when struck down Funeral services were at two o clock this afternoon under Rev Everly and Dr Beardshear The issue notes Wallaces farming publishing moving to Des Moines and local ads and business brief items.
