Captain Ericson Predicts Ten Destroyer-Style Boats

Captain Ericson of Monitor fame claims he can build ten boats modeled after the Destroyer to provide superior coast defenses to stationary forts. Each boat would cost $200,000 and be armed with submarine guns that discharge dynamite at short range below the waterline. The Monitor’s builder should know what he is talking about.
