The Crowell family and a guest Mrs. E. W. Wright were seriously poisoned after eating pressed corn beef. Mrs. Crowell remains in bad condition, but recovery is expected for all.
Herman Barnes and Joseph Wiley quarreled and agreed to fight to the finish. The battle left Barnes severely injured and he died from his wounds. Wiley was arrested on a murder charge.
