L. M Bosworth reports George W. Akin of this city works for W. C. Gund Investment Co with Kansas headquarters at Ft Scott. The firm lists farm and ranch lands in eastern Kansas with favorable terms for investors. An immigration wave from Illinois and Iowa shows forty three Iowa buyers on a recent trip. Dr Beardshear died at his home on the college campus after a long illness. Funeral on Thursday at 8 pm on the college lawn with President Brookwalter of Western College Toledo assisting. Interment in the college cemetery. He left a wide circle of friends and a lasting impact on education in Iowa.
